Mount Carmel Youth Ranch Admission Guidelines
Questionare
Wilderness Program Fees Include:
* 24 hour staff
* Housing & meals
* Activities (Movies, hunting, fishing, rodeo and more)
* Academic program through our schools for troubled teens (18 Month/Long Term Program)
* Phone conferencing
* Drug evaluation and counseling
* Equine program (tack equipment provided)*
* Mountain cowboy experience in summer months* through our troubled teen camp
* Vocational training
* Psychosocial counseling
* Tutoring by certified teacher
* Enrollment examination and assessments
* Transportation to and from Yellowstone Regional Airport in Cody, WY (see transportation guidelines below)
* Outdoor gear-backpacks, tents, sleeping bags, canteen, cooking utensils etc.
* Clothing-boots, shirts, long johns, pants, socks, coats, jackets, rain gear, gloves, hats, etc.
* Toiletries- toothpaste, toothbrush, soap, shampoo, brush, comb, sunblock, chap stick etc.
Positive Outcomes of MTC's Behavior Modification Therapy for Troubled Teens:
* Improved social relations
* Behavior modification towards sexual promiscuity and respect for women
* Enrichment of physical fitness
* Education and academic services provided year round via our schools for troubled teens
* Study habits improved
* Develop a positive outlook toward school
* Develop a strong Christian foundation to guide their moral conscience
* Change the negative subculture that they themselves identify with
* Develop tools to build a stronger family unit
* Strong work ethic developed by having “Real Ranch Experiences”
* Real life challenges force the troubled teen to troubleshoot and think on his feet which helps him to make responsible decisions
* Show healthy ways to have fun: fishing, hiking, horsemanship etc.
* Develop respect for self, others and authority
* Morals, ethics and empathy are developed
* Some of these are earned privileges
